Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to products and services purchased through Lowcademy.

Lowcademy provides different refund terms depending on the nature of the product or service purchased. Please review the applicable section before making a purchase.

1. Self-Paced Courses — 30-Day Refund Protection

Eligible Self-Paced Courses purchased through Lowcademy come with 30-Day Refund Protection, subject to the Fair Usage conditions described below.

Within 7 Days — Up to 100% Refund

If you request a refund within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase, you may be eligible for a refund of up to 100% of the actual amount paid, subject to the Fair Usage Policy and applicable transaction/payment processing charges.

Days 8–30 — Up to 75% Refund

If you request a refund from the 8th through the 30th calendar day from the date of purchase, you may be eligible for a refund of up to 75% of the actual amount paid, subject to the Fair Usage Policy and applicable transaction/payment processing charges.

Refund requests received after the 30th calendar day from the date of purchase are generally not eligible under this voluntary refund policy.

2. How the Refund Is Calculated

The applicable refund percentage is calculated based on the actual amount paid by the customer, after applying any applicable coupon, discount, promotional offer, scholarship, bundle pricing, or other price reduction.

Any payment gateway, transaction, or payment processing charges actually incurred on the original transaction may be deducted from the applicable refund amount.

Formula

Applicable Refund = Actual Amount Paid × Applicable Refund Percentage − Applicable Transaction/Payment Processing Charges

Transaction or payment processing charges may vary depending on the payment method, payment provider, transaction type, domestic or international processing, and other applicable factors.

For reference, such charges may typically be in the range of approximately 2%–5% of the transaction amount, with applicable taxes on those charges where applicable. The actual amount deducted will be based on the charges incurred for the specific transaction.

Example

Suppose a customer purchases a Self-Paced Course for ₹9,000 and the applicable transaction/payment processing charge on the original transaction is 2% (₹180).

Within the first 7 days:

₹9,000 × 100% = ₹9,000
₹9,000 − ₹180 transaction charge = ₹8,820 refund

Between days 8–30:

₹9,000 × 75% = ₹6,750
₹6,750 − ₹180 transaction charge = ₹6,570 refund

Therefore:

Purchase amount: ₹9,000
Refund within 7 days: ₹8,820 in this example
Refund during days 8–30: ₹6,570 in this example
Transaction charge used in the example: ₹180
The applicable refund percentage is calculated on the actual amount paid, not the original listed or maximum retail price.

The above example is illustrative. The actual refund will be calculated using the applicable transaction/payment processing charges incurred on the original payment.

3. Fair Usage Policy

Lowcademy provides immediate access to digital educational content. The refund protection is therefore subject to reasonable and fair usage conditions.

A refund may generally not be available where:

75% or more of the course content has been accessed or consumed; or
The customer has downloaded all or substantially all downloadable course resources; or
The course content and resources have been substantially consumed or used in a manner that indicates the course has effectively been completed or extracted before requesting a refund.

Lowcademy may review relevant course access, viewing, download, and usage records when assessing a refund request.

This condition exists to prevent the refund policy from being used to obtain substantial access to digital educational content and resources and subsequently request a refund.

Lowcademy reserves the right to assess unusual or potentially abusive refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Nothing in this Fair Usage Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any consumer right or statutory remedy that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

4. How to Request a Refund

The refund request should include:

Full name
Email address used for the purchase
Course/product name
Order ID or payment reference
Date of purchase
Reason for requesting the refund

A refund request should be submitted from the email address associated with the purchase wherever reasonably possible.

The applicable refund period is determined by the date on which the purchase was completed.

5. Access After a Refund Request

Because Lowcademy provides digital content and resources, upon receiving a refund request, Lowcademy may immediately suspend or revoke access to the relevant course and associated digital resources while the refund request is being reviewed.

If the refund is approved, access to the refunded course and associated resources will remain revoked.

If the refund request is declined, Lowcademy may restore access to the course where appropriate.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval of the refund.

6. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, Lowcademy will initiate the applicable refund to the original payment method, wherever technically and legally possible.

Please allow 7–30 days for the refund to be processed and reflected in the customer’s account.

The actual time taken for the funds to appear may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, payment provider, or other financial institution and may therefore be outside Lowcademy’s direct control.

7. Live Cohorts, Live Classes & Other Products

The 30-Day Refund Protection applies only to eligible Self-Paced Courses.

Due to the nature of the following products and services, purchases are generally non-refundable once the purchase has been completed, except where a refund is required under applicable law or expressly provided under the specific product’s terms:

Live Cohort Programs
Live Classes
Consultancy / Consulting Services
Paid Webinars
Memberships
Digital Products
Scheduled Workshops
Other Live Programs or Services

For these products, Lowcademy may commit trainer time, seats, scheduling, resources, access, infrastructure, or other services immediately following purchase.

Where a particular live program or product has a separate cancellation or refund policy, that policy will apply to the relevant purchase.

8. Promotional Offers, Discounts & Coupons

Where a product has been purchased using a discount, coupon, promotional offer, scholarship, bundle pricing, or other special pricing, any applicable refund will be calculated based on the actual amount paid by the customer for the relevant product.

Applicable transaction/payment processing charges may also be deducted in accordance with Section 2 of this policy.

9. Bundles & Packages

Where multiple courses or products are purchased as part of a bundle or package, refund eligibility may be governed by the specific terms communicated with that bundle or package.

Where applicable, Lowcademy may consider the individual value of products already accessed or used when determining the applicable refund.

Any applicable transaction/payment processing charges may also be deducted from an approved refund.

10. Course Updates & Changes

Lowcademy may periodically update, improve, replace, or modify course content, projects, resources, technologies, examples, exercises, or supporting materials.

A modification or update to course content does not, by itself, constitute grounds for a refund where the course continues to substantially provide the learning scope and benefits represented at the time of purchase.

11. Statutory Rights

This Refund & Cancellation Policy provides the voluntary refund protection offered by Lowcademy and is not intended to remove or restrict any rights or remedies available to a customer under applicable law.

Where applicable law provides a consumer with rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted by contract or policy, those rights remain unaffected.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This policy and the purchase of Lowcademy products and services shall be governed by the applicable laws of India.

Subject to applicable law, the courts at Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh shall have jurisdiction over disputes where such jurisdiction may lawfully be conferred.

By purchasing a Lowcademy Self-Paced Course, the customer acknowledges that the product is a digital educational product and that access to course content and resources may be provided immediately following purchase.

The applicable refund protection is subject to this policy, the product-specific terms communicated at the time of purchase, the Fair Usage Policy, and applicable law.
